Shau Zhang is the market leader of Americas China Overseas Investment Network (COIN) of EY, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services. In this role, Shau has made significant contribution in increasing EY’s visibility in the Chinese business community both in China and in the United States. Her extended network with the government and the business associations as well as outstanding services have continuously helped EY gain access to the new Chinese inbound investors and have helped EY stay competitive in this market sector. Shau started her career with EY Boston office in 1997. Prior to 2011, Shau was a tax partner managing US clients ranged from large multinational companies in the sector of real estate, asset management, private equity, university endowment funds, timber funds, sports team to corporations in biotech and manufacturing. Over the past five years with the China Inbound tax practice, Shau has successfully built a practice with a team of eight plus core team members and approximately 50 extended team members cross all service lines in different locations. Shau is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts, and a member of the MSCPA and AICPA. She has an MS in Accountancy and an MS in Taxation from Bentley University, Massachusetts, and BS and MS degrees in Power Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai JiaoTong University. Shau and her husband have three children and reside in Boston.
